Yvonne Marie (Blalock) McKellar

Mrs. Yvonne Marie Blalock McKellar, 72, of Valdosta formerly of Tifton passed away on Monday, August 23, 2021 at Tift Regional Medical Center.

A graveside memorial service will be held Friday, August 27, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. in Oakridge Cemetery with Rev. Kim Washburn officiating.  Due to covid, the family requests that all attendees wear a mask.

Mrs. McKellar was born March 25, 1949 in Tift County to the late Paul Willard Blalock and Louise McDaniel Blalock. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the father of her children, Stanley McKellar to whom she was married for forty-two years, her son, Floyd Stanley “Stan” McKellar and her sister, Vickie Hester. Mrs. McKellar was a member of Greenwood Baptist church in Gray, Georgia where she was involved in several areas of service. She sewed for the church’s mission projects and she served on the flower decoration committee. She was a graduate of Tift County High School and ABAC. Mrs. McKellar was retired from Tift County Health Department after twenty-five years of service as a health care educator.

Mrs. McKellar is survived by her son, Paul B. “Burt” McKellar; her daughter and son-in-law, Sandi and Shane Smith; her grandchildren, Trey McKellar, Chelle and Tiffany McKellar, McKensey Smith, Marley Smith, Walker McKellar and Lily McKellar and she was excited about her soon to be first great grandchild expected this month , Tatum McKellar.
