Willie Burks

Mr. Willie Burks, 65, of Tifton, passed away Saturday, July 2, 2016 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Brother Damon Spikes, President Albert Burns and President Michael Pearce officiating. Burial will follow at Oakridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Albritton Funeral Directors. The men of the church will serve as pallbearers.
Mr. Burks was born in Worth County on May 4, 1951 to the late Charles, Sr. and Aroltha King. He worked for 28 years with the Tift County Sheriff’s Department as a Correctional officer. He was also a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Tifton.
Mr. Burks is survived by his wife Lindra Goines Burks of Tifton, his two sons and two daughters, eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren, a number of sisters and brothers, aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces and nephews.
