Wetona "Toni" Connor Fletcher

Wetona C. “Toni” Fletcher, 89, of Tifton died Tuesday, December 06, 2016 at Tifton Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Graveside service will be held on Friday, December 09, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Tift Memorial Gardens with Rev. Steve Hand officiating. The family will receive friends from 12-1:30 pm on Friday at Albritton Funeral Directors chapel.

Mrs. Fletcher was born on February 09, 1927 in Tift County to the late Ewart Washington Connor and Flora Eliza Johnson Connor. She lived in Tifton all of her life and as a baby, she held the title of “Little Miss Tifton”.  During the time of World War II, Mrs. Fletcher became a welder. She was married to the late William Allie Fletcher Jr. for 66 years. Mrs. Fletcher was a childcare provider and a great seamstress. She also enjoyed cooking and shopping. Mrs. Fletcher loved her grandchildren, her Lord and being with her family and friends.

Mrs. Fletcher is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Joel Bruce of Tifton; one son and daughter-in-law, Darrell and June Fletcher of Gainesville, GA; her grandchildren, Candice and Ricky Hernandez, Camille and Peter Crowley, Katie and Jon Parker, and Kalen Breedlove; and her great grandchildren Gabriella Hernandez, Caroline Crowley, Connor Crowley, Preston Parker, and Tristan Breedlove.

In addition to her husband, William A. Fletcher, Jr., Mrs. Fletcher was preceded in death by two brothers, Randolph Connor and J.C. Connor; and three sisters, Alice Theus, Louise Branch, and Evelyn Hood.
