“ Wayne” Floyd Evans, 65, passed away Monday June 13, 2016 at Regency Hospital in Macon.
A memorial service will be held Friday, June 17, 2016, at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with the Dr. Fred Evers officiating. Interment will follow at Oakridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until 2:30 P.M. before the service in the chapel.
The staff of Diversified Enterprises will serve as the honorary escort.
Mr. Evans was born in Tift County on December 21, 1950 to Mattie Florence Sumler Evans and the late Floyd Leon Evans who died March 18, 1992. He graduated from Tift County High School in 1969.
Mr. Evans was a lifelong member of Northside Baptist Church of Tifton, which he loved dearly. He also loved Elvis, his country and his family. Mr. Evans was a very generous man who thoroughly enjoyed giving gifts to others. He was such a blessing to all who knew him and his family truly appreciates all who spent time with him. Wayne’s family especially wants to thank the staff of Diversified Enterprises of TiftArea for their care and kindness during his time of need.
Mr. Evans is survived by two sisters and one brother-in-law, Gail Evans of Tifton and Judy and Loron Williams of Tifton; one nephew Micah and Brooke Baldwin; and two nieces Adrienne and Julienne Baldwin.
His weary hours and days of pain;
His troubled nights are past;
And in our aching hearts we know;
He has found sweet peace at last.
