Wanda McWaters, born on December 16, 1948, in Troy, Alabama, peacefully passed away on July 31, 2024, at the Rehabilitation Center of South Georgia.
She was the daughter of the late James Tenney and Lois L. Hood Tenney.
Throughout her life, Wanda was a dedicated individual who found joy and fulfillment in various roles. She spent many years working in the hotel industry for Buena Vista Palace as a supervisor However, her most cherished job was being a devoted housewife and homemaker. In 2005, she and her beloved husband relocated their family to Berrien County where she attended Barnes Chapel Church and they created countless memories together. Wanda especially treasured the moments spent fishing with her husband before his passing in 2018. She was also preceded in death by one brother,
Wanda McWaters will be dearly missed by her surviving family and friends. She is survived by her loving son Jeff McWaters of Alapaha, daughter Barbara Hood and her husband Richard of Polk City, Florida, and daughter Rhonda Faye McWaters of Tifton. In addition to her children, she is also survived five grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and one sister, Sybil Kennedy of Alabama. May she rest in peace knowing that she was cherished by those whose lives she touched.
There will be no formal services held.
Albritton Funeral Directors will be in charge of her arrangements.
