Walter "Lee" Leon Kinchen, Jr.

Walter Leon (Lee) Kinchen, Jr., 65, of Enigma passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at Tift Regional Medical Center surrounded and loved by his family.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 12, 2021 from 11:00 A.M. to 5 P.M. at his home in Enigma.

Lee was born on August 13, 1955 in Tifton to Walter Leon (Rass) Kinchen, Sr. and the late Nora Belle Barrentine Kinchen. The family takes comfort in knowing that ‘mama has him now’.
Lee grew up in Alapaha and Stone Mountain where he graduated from Stone Mountain High School. After his graduation, he served in the United States Navy.  He was a beloved son, brother and uncle. Lee was a larger than life character and if he loved you, you knew it. The size of his personality was only surpassed by the size of his heart. He was a biker and shared his love of Harley-Davidson with his father, who he affectionately called ‘The Old Man’. He was blessed with two sisters, both of whom he loved deeply and also annoyed constantly. He shared a lifelong friendship with his brother-in-law that dated back to elementary school. Lee found his calling in life when he became an uncle and discovered the joy in full and total aggravation of his nieces and nephews, a pastime that he has carried through two generations. He will be greatly missed.
Lee is survived by his father, Walter Leon (Rass) Kinchen, Sr., two sisters and a brother-in-law, Terrie & Larry Durden and Kathy Lockerman all of Tifton, his nieces and nephews: Leslie & Justin Bailey, Lindsey & Luke Fletcher, Spencer Lockerman, Allie & Brandon White, Trevor & Jayde Lockerman, as well as his great-nieces and nephews: Landon & Grady Fletcher, Braeden Lockerman, Reid & Nora Taylor White,  Cason & Mila Lockerman.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Enigma United Methodist Church, 355 S. Main St, Enigma, GA 31749 or to a local non-profit of your choice.
