Virginia Vera (Wilson) Beasley

Mrs. Virginia Vera Wilson Beasley, 93, of Tifton, passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2023 at Southwell Rehab and Nursing at Cook Medical Center in Adel.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Ashley Roig officiating. Interment will follow at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 10:45 A. M. at the church before the service.

Scott Beasley, Tyler Beasley, Carter Ring, Jamie Allison, Tyrone Dean and Patrick Beasley will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Gene Green, Bill Kreschollek, Travis Lassiter and Andy Ring.

Mrs. Beasley was born May 11, 1930 in Tift County to the late Hobert Monroe Wilson and Hattie Yates Wilson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Harold Beasley, five brothers, Emerson Wilson, Donald Wilson, Wallace Wilson, Bobby Wilson and Raymond Wilson; three sisters, Emogene Burdette, Lavern Willis and Doris Casey. Mrs. Beasley was a member of Salem Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School to young girls. She loved to cook and enjoyed taking care of her family.

Mrs. Beasley is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Ray and Kim Beasley and Ken and Gloria Beasley all of Tifton; her grandchildren, Candice and Milton Johnson, Scott and Kristin Beasley, Patrick and Tammie Beasley, Tyler and Cayla Beasley and Zoe and Tyrone Dean; her great grandchildren, BeBe Beasley, Charley Dean, Kynlee Beasley, Norah Kate Dean, Regan Dean and Garrett Beasley; her two sisters, Mary Williams and her husband Billy and Carolyn Bates of Sylvester.
