Verna (Copeland) King

Mrs. Verna Copeland King, 88 of Tifton died Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Rehabilitation Center of South Georgia.
A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, July 25, at Tift Memorial Gardens with Rev. Terrell Roberts officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 9:30- 10:30 am in the funeral home.
Mrs. King was born in Colquitt County on January 7, 1929 to the late Joe W. and Ader Selph Copeland. She was a graduate of Tift County High School. She was preceded in death by her former husband Dan King who passed away in February of 2012. Mrs. King was a member of Chula Methodist Church. She was a homemaker and loved to fish.
Among her survivors are her two sons and daughter’s-in-law, Sammy D. and Julie King, Tifton and Stephen and Staley King, Tifton, her grandson David King and her great granddaughters Hannah Elizabeth King and Abigail Sophia King all of Tifton, and her brother Lonnie Joe Copeland of Brooks County.
Mrs. King was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
