Thereasa "Terry" (Blankenship) Gilder

Mrs. Thereasa “Terry” “Nana” Gilder, 68 of Tifton, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at Tift Regional Medical Center.

As per her wishes, Terry will be cremated. There will a private service at a later date with military honors at a national cemetery.

Terry was born November 9, 1954 in Echo, Alabama to the late Theron Blankenship, Sr. and Mary Grantham Ledbetter. She has an associate’s degree in horticulture and retired from the United States Air Force after twenty-one years of service.  She loved gardening, traveling, sewing, shopping, doing crafts and cooking, but most of all she loved her family and friends.

Mrs. Gilder is survived by her husband Van Gilder of Tifton, daughter and son-in-law Mindy and Chris Gibbons of North Port, Florida,  her son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Anita Maloy, Charleston, South Carolina and  daughter, Andrea and Josh Cain of Menlo, Georgia; eight grandchildren, Kayla (JR), Chase (Natalie), Morgan, Autumn, Austin, Joseph, Madison and Jonathan; one great grandchild, Kensington; her sisters, Jane Parris of Virginia and Gloria Spann of Georgia; her brother and sister-in-law, A. J. and Rosemary Blankenship of North Carolina. She is also survived by several nieces.
