Mrs. Terry Anita Eunice Owens, 56, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, May 26, 2019, at First Baptist Church of Ty Ty with Rev. Rodney Owens, Rev. Steve Davis and Rev. Jim Duggan officiating. Interment will follow in First Baptist Church of Ty Ty Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, May 25th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Richard Robbins, Shannon Sledge, Dale Tucker, Mickey Fore, Bobby Simpson, and Matthew “Bart” Holt will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Owens was born February 15, 1963 in Tift County. She was the daughter of the late J. C. Eunice and her Mother, Rebecca Eunice and her companion PaPa David Bacon of Sylvester. Mrs. Owens was a 1981 graduate of Tift County High School, and she was employed with Tift County Board of Education as the Administrative Assistant to the Director of Federal Programs. She attended First Baptist Church of Ty Ty and was an active member of the congregation and a devoted Christian. Her husband and children were the center of Mrs. Owens’ life. She loved being with her family and spending time with them at holidays. Her favorite destination was St. George Island, and she spent her time there walking the beach and reading by the ocean. She was passionate about cooking and shopping, and knew her way around a cast iron skillet and a sales rack. She loved her pets Shadow, Max, and Sadie.
Mrs. Owens is survived by her husband, Greg Owens of Tifton; her son Cameron Seymour of New York City; her daughter Ashlyn Owens of Tifton; and her two brothers, Greg Allen Eunice of Norman Park and James Kevin and Tonya Eunice of Sanford, Florida.
