Steven Randall Green, 59, of Navarre, Fla. formerly of Tifton, died April 06, 2016 at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, April 11, 2016 at 4:00 P.M. at CrossView Baptist Church, Tifton, Georgia with the Rev. Myrice McNab officiating. Interment will follow at Oakridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday at CrossView Baptist Church from 2:00P.M. - 3:30P.M. before the service.
A memorial service will be held at Navarre United Methodist Church, 9474 Navarre Parkway, Navarre, Fl; Saturday April 9, 2016 at 2:00P.M. Dr. Alan Cassady and Rev. Myrtice McNab will be officiating.
Mr. Green was retired since 2014 and resided in Navarre, Fla. For many years he worked in engineering and electronics. He was the director and business development manager for Star Dynamics and BAE Systems.
Jeff Brown, Walt Clements, Joe Cowart, Ted Decker, Mike Delk, Jim Dunkle, Howard Jones and Wendell Pitts will serve as pallbearers.
Mr. Green was born July 04, 1956 in Chattanooga Tennessee to the late Donald Lee Green and Reba Butler Green of Tifton.
Mr. Green is preceded in death by his father, Donald Green.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Green is survived by his wife, Ruth Green of Navarre, Fla.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Steven and Tracy Green of Alexandria, VA and Scott and Hannah Green of Inman, SC; one daughter, Stephanie Moreland of Navarre; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Lisa and Zack Chung and Patricia and Sonny Johnson; nieces and nephews, Colby and Amanda Chung, Kristen and Reed Hall, Layne and Matt Bridges and Mac Johnson; six grandchildren, Elizabeth Green, Steven Randall Green III, Addison Moreland, Brodie Moreland, Wyatt Green and Austin Green; and three great nephews.
One of Mr. Green’s favorite bible passages was Isaiah 40:31, but those who trust in the Lord will find new strength; they will soar high on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not faint.
Flowers will be accepted but donations in Randy’s memory are preferred. Donations can be made to M.D. Anderson
