Sherry Lynn Lashley

Sherry Lynn Deen Lashley, 60, of Tifton passed away Sunday, February 11, 2018 peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 14th in Oakridge Cemetery with Rev. Donnie Duncan officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening, February 13th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Sherry was born in Wimpole Park, England on July 19, 1957 to the late Herman Cleo Deen and Cynthia Pearl Green Deen. She was preceded in death by her husband, Neal Harold Lashley, to whom she was married for twenty-seven years. Also, preceded in death by her son, Neal Bryan Lashley. She was raised in Tifton and was a stay at home mother while her children were growing up. Sherry was employed with Tift Regional Medical Center. She loved decorating, fashion, crafts, and spending evenings at the Tifton Elks Lodge with friends, where she was known for her fashion sense, her beauty and her kind heart. She also enjoyed shopping and traveling in her spare time. She was adored by many and will be greatly missed.

Sherry is survived by two sons, Christopher Lashley and Deen Lashley, both of Eau Claire, Wisconsin; one daughter, Elizabeth “Liz” Lashley of Tifton; one daughter-in-law, Sarah Lashley of Adel; five brothers and sisters-in-law, Michael and Amy Deen of Tifton, Stephen and Lesa Deen of Adel, Gary Deen of Tifton, David and Karen Deen of Jacksonville, Fla, Richard Deen of Tifton; two sisters and brother’s-in-law, Vanda and Glen Whitley of Columbus, Sue and David Morris of Tetbury, England; ten grandchildren; her boyfriend, Walter Gordy of Tifton and of course, her dog “Porkchop”.
