Sharon Walker

Sharon Walker, 69, of TyTy died Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at her residence.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at TyTy Baptist Church with Rev. Rodney Owens officiating. Interment will follow at TyTy Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors.

Chad Walker, Joey Walker, Michael Hill, Richard Neal, Frank Jones, and Ray Shealey will serve as pallbearers. The current and retired staff of Stafford Development will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Mrs. Walker was born on August 25, 1946 in Tift County to the late Betty Malcom Sklany Fenn. She graduated from Tift County High School in 1964, where she also played basketball. She later became the receptionist and office manager at Stafford Development. Mrs. Walker attended TyTy Methodist Church. She was a wonderful wife for forty seven years to her husband, Mr. Larry Walker and a loving mother to her children. Mrs. Walker loved her children and her grandchildren very much. She enjoyed shopping and spending time with her granddaughters.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Walker is survived by her two daughters and a son-in-law, Nikki Walker of Tifton and Stauna and Ches Chambless of TyTy; one brother and sister-in-law, Eddie and Martha Day Sklany of Tifton; and her two granddaughters, Amanda Blake and Avery Caroline.
