Sara Elizabeth (Clark) Griffin

Mrs. Sara Elizabeth Clark Griffin, 88, of Tifton passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2022, at Tift Regional Medical Center.

The family will hold a memorial service at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 28, 2022 in the Sonrise Chapel Church of God of Prophecy with Rev. Keith Burch officiating.  The family will receive friends at 10:00 A.M. at the church before the service.  Her cremains will be interred beside her parents at 4:00 P.M. on Saturday,May 28, 2022, at Shiloh Methodist Church Cemetery on Hwy. 19  in Wheeler County, Lumber City, GA.

Mrs. Griffin was born August 31, 1933 in Wheeler County, Georgia to the late Nimrod F. Clark and Josie Thompson Clark. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Eston Griffin who died March 22, 1999 and her two brothers, Oather Clark and Franklin Clark. Mrs. Griffin was a member of the Sonrise Chapel Church of God of Prophecy. She formerly worked with J. P. Stevens Company in the spinning department and with Curtis Packing Company. Mrs. Griffin was an excellent candy and jelly maker. She loved to grow fruit trees, work in her garden and fish.

Mrs. Griffin is survived by her nephew and his wife, Gerald and Donna Clark of Douglasville, Georgia; two great nieces and their husbands, Jessica and Andy Hayes and Ashley and Justin Rackley and one great nephew, Jeremy Clark.
