Mrs. Ruth Margaret Rhoades Creasman, 80, of Tifton passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Friday, January 31, 2020 at Tift Regional Medical Center.
A Memorial service will be held on Friday, February 7, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Mr. Reginald Chung officiating. A Eulogy will be given by her son Robert Creasman.
Mrs. Creasman was born December 6, 1939 in Washington, D.C. to the late William Scott Rhoades and Ruth Margaret Allen Rhoades. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Bobby Joe Creasman who died June 26, 2002, her brothers and sisters. Mrs. Creasman was a member of First Baptist Church of Chula and a homemaker. She had lived in Tifton since November, 1977. Mrs. Ruth was an avid reader and well-known cook. She enjoyed going to yard sales with her friends. Her husband was a twenty-six-year retired veteran of The United States Air Force and while stationed in the Philippines Ruth was centrally involved in the evacuation flights of the orphaned children during the Viet Nam War. She loved her family, extended family and friends and her home was always opened to all.
Mrs. Creasman is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law Thomas and Francesca Creasman of Williamsburg, Virginia, John Creasman of Tifton, Robert and Christine Thomson Creasman of Tifton; her grandchildren Stefanie and Michael Basford, Kellie Creasman, Ryan Creasman, Nathan Creasman, Brandi Creasman, Lauren and Josh Pope and Jeffrey and Ashley Robbins and also nine great grandchildren.
