Russell Bennie Hill

Mr. Russell Bennie Hill, 71, of Tifton passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2023 at Tift Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A. M. on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 in the chapel of Albritton Directors with Rev. Stacy Phillips officiating and the eulogy will be given by his son Patrick Hill. Interment will follow at Oakridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

His cousins, Chuck Hill, Mike Hill, Denny Hill, Tommy Hill, Jeff Hill, Chip Mann, Buddy Hill and Jake Hill (nephew) will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the Barry Cutts Sunday School Class of Northside Baptist Church, Stanley and Marcia Register, Gail Parker, Richard and Lisha Wood, Charles and Anne Carper, Gilbert Locks, Gary and Gail Hall and Charlie and Lyndra Mock.

Mr. Hill was born November 29, 1951 in Tift County to the late Ben Hill and Julia Bailey Hill. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Julian Gary Hill, his in-laws, Rev. James and Wanda Keen, Gary and Patsy Keen and Glenda Holland. Mr. Hill was a longtime resident of Tift county and he was an active member of Northside Baptist Church of Tifton where he was a member of the Barry Cutts Sunday School Class. He had previously served as a Deacon and Training Union director at Second Baptist Church for many years. Mr. Hill was formerly the owner of South Georgia Vinyl Siding & Supply for fourteen years and a Bailiff for Tift County Superior Court for seven years. He was currently employed with Southern Regional Technical College as a security officer.

Mr. Hill is survived by his wife of fifty years, Patricia “Pat” Keen Hill of Tifton to whom he married July 28, 1972; his son, Patrick Hill of Hahira; his daughter and son-in-law, April and Matt Renfroe of Tifton; his grandson, Jackson Hill , his step grandson and his wife, Alex and Emily Renfroe; his brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Susan Hill of Leesburg; his brother-in-law, Billy Holland of Pigeon Forge, TN; his fur babies, Snoopy and grand puppy, Murphy; and many nieces and nephews.
