Mr. Robert O’Neal Patrick, 83, of Tifton passed away on Monday, June 21, 2021 at Tift Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 24, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Ridge Avenue Church of Christ with Mr. Harold Chambers and Mr. Larry Stewart officiating. The burial with a graveside service will be held Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Vandyke Grove Cemetery in Paris, TN with Ridgeway Funeral Home in charge of the graveside services. The family will receive friends before the service at Ridge Avenue Church Christ from 10:00 to 10:45 A.M. on Thursday.
Roy Willis, Klint Guess, David Tanner, Patrick Britt, Garrison Britt and John Paulk will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Wiseman and Kevin Guess.
Mr. Patrick was born September 6, 1937 in Hardeman County, Tennessee to the late John Robert Patrick and Louise O’Neal Patrick. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Janice Clifford and his wife, Betty Johnson Patrick who died May 13, 2019 and to whom he was married for fifty-four years at her death. Mr. Patrick was a member of Ridge Avenue Church of Christ and owner of Patrick Tractor Company. He had lived in Tifton since 1986. He was a man of faith and very active in his church where he served as an Elder and did anything he could to support the church and congregation. Mr. Bob served in the Tennessee National Guard and loved his country. He was a lifetime member of the Future Farmers of America. Mr. Patrick was a supporter of Agribusiness and he and Mrs. Patrick traveled often internationally in business related agricultural matters. He loved his family especially his grandsons. Mr. Bob loved all children. He was a people person and was a man respected in his community. He was a 1955 graduate of Chester County High School and received his Bachelor Degree from the University of Tennessee in Martin, Tennessee in 1959. Mr. Patrick was on the Board of Directors for Georgia Christian School in Valdosta.
Mr. Patrick is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Darron Britt of Athens; his son, Randal Patrick of Nashville, Tennessee; two grandsons, Patrick Britt and Garrison Britt; his sister and brother-in-law, Andrea and John McCadams of Jackson, Tennessee.
Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to Georgia Christian School, 4359 Dasher Road, Valdosta, Ga. 31601.
