Tifton – Robert Dale Gann, 62, of Tifton died Sunday, April 24, 2016 at Tift Regional Medical Center.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, April 27th, at 3:00 P.M. at Northside Baptist Church with Rev. Craig Nalls officiating. Interment will follow at First Baptist Church of TyTy Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 26, 2016, 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Albritton Funeral Directors chapel.
Mike Flippo, Wendell Hall, Sam Jackson, Jimmy Abel, Ernest Dove, Ronnie Rowland and Vic Stone will serve as pallbearers. Mr. Gann’s nieces and nephews, present and retired Tifton Fire Department and The Tifton Police Department will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Mr. Gann was born in Tift County on May 02, 1953, to the late Eldo and Winnie Newell Gann.
Mr. Gann lived most of his life in Tifton and graduated from Tift County High in 1971. He worked for thirty four years for the Tifton Fire Department where for many of those years he served as Captain. Mr. Gann was an excellent construction worker. He enjoyed watching his daughter’s soccer events and enjoyed family activities because his family was the center of his life.
In addition to his parents, Eldo and Winnie Gann, Mr. Gann was preceded in death by his mother-in-law Bernice L. Moore, who died April 17, 2016, and his father-in-law Roy F. Moore.
In addition to his wife, Toni Moore Gann to whom he was married to for twenty five years, Mr. Gann is survived by his daughter, Ali Gann of Tifton; his three sisters and a brother-in-law, Joann Baird of Groveland, Fla., Barbara Goins of TyTy, and Linda and Jimmy Norman of Tifton; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Hilton and Latrelle Gann of Tifton and David and Marie Gann of Tifton; and several nieces and nephews.
