Robbie "Jean" Stoufer

Robbie “Jean” Bishop Stoufer, 88, of Tifton, GA, arrived in her eternal home on January 20, 2023, at University of Florida Health in Gainesville, Florida.

Mrs. Stoufer’s Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Albritton Funeral Directors. Burial will follow at Enigma Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:30 A.M. – 12:45 P.M., Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Albritton Funeral Directors.

Pallbearers will be her nephews and great nephews.

Mrs. Stoufer was born May 2, 1934 in Enigma, GA to the late Percy Jewel Bishop and Ethel Norris Bishop. She is also preceded in death by her beloved husband of forty-nine years, Bob Stoufer, one son, Kenneth Ray Phillippi; three sisters, Merlyn Harris, Juanita Crum and Linda Burchett, and one brother, George Bishop.

Mrs. Stoufer began her career straight out of high school as a telephone operator for Southern Bell Telephone Company in Albany, GA. She retired from this company after thirty-five years of service. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and served as worthy matron and a grand state officer in the state of New Jersey. She was a devoted member of the Chula United Methodist Church and was always ready to serve when she was needed. Miss Jean, as she was affectionately called, would always have her favorite food ready for those in need. Most importantly she loved and admired her family and they loved and revered her. Her son and her grandchildren were her pride and joy.

She is survived by and known to her loving son, Dr. Keith Norris Phillippi of Tifton, GA as “Mother”; one step daughter, Cheryl Stoufer Berberich of Raytown, MO; she was known as “Grandmother” to her three grandchildren, Christian Phillippi, Keilee Phillippi, and Chandler Phillippi; her siblings, Carolyn Brannen, Jim Bishop, Nell Pancake, Mary Beth Bishop, Charles Bishop, and David Bishop; nieces and nephews along with their families who loved Aunt Jean.
