Reba Nell Parrish Carr, 96, of Tifton passed away on Sunday, August 19, 2018 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 23rd at 2:00 p.m. at Eastside Baptist Church with Rev. Glenn Ford and Rev. Keith Norris officiating. Interment will follow in Oakridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the church before the services.
Jerry Hobbs, Jimmy Abell, Virgil Johnson, Wayne Pridgen, Mike O'Hara and Willis Marchant will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Carr was born February 17, 1922 in Berrien County, Georgia to the late Owen L. Parrish and Gussie Lee Mathis Parrish. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Benard Carr who died 1995, her son, Roger Carr and her son-in-law, Buddy Rickman; four brothers, Ronald Parrish, Oswald Parrish, William Parrish and Gene Parrish. Mrs. Carr was a member of Eastside Baptist Church and a member of Tift Regional Ladies Auxiliary. She had lived in Tifton since 1996. She was homemaker and had worked with Associated Foods of Macon as package room clerk. Mrs. Carr enjoyed cross-stitching, reading and loved talking on the phone. She especially enjoyed gardening her flowers.
Mrs. Carr is survived by one daughter, Elaine Rickman of Tifton; one son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Geraldine Carr of Covington; one daughter-in-law, Faye Carr of Gray, Georgia; three grandchildren, Robbie and Monica Carr, Jr., Reed Carr, Rhonda and Eddie Barrett; many great and great great grandchildren.
Albritton Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
