Reba Laverne Palmer Burns, 72, of Enigma passed away on Monday, September 25, 2017 at Tift Regional Medical Center.

A graveside service will be held Friday, September 29, 2017 at 11:00am in Turner Church Cemetery with Rev. Robert Beggs officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 28 from 6:00 to 8:00pm at the funeral home.

Anthony Barnes, Charlie Barnes, Wallach Hughes, Michael Moore, Ricky Barnes and Jamie Goddard will serve as pallbearers.  Michael Barnes and Bobby Nims will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Mrs. Burns was born on July 2, 1945 in Irwin County to the late Harold Palmer and Reba Bryant Palmer. Reba is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Ronald Veston Burns. She was a lifetime resident of Berrien County where she was a wonderful wife, Mother and second Mother to many. She never hesitated to take anyone into their home and her favorite hobby was fishing.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Donnie and Denise Burns of Enigma, Monty and Caroline Burns of TyTy; three grandchildren, Tina and Allen Montgomery, Kacey Burns and Jamie Parkerson Burns; eleven great grandchildren; two sisters and brother-in-law, Becky and Keith Rogers of Rochelle and Rosemary Palmer of Tifton.

Mrs. Burns was preceded in death by her son, Johnny Raymond Burns who died 1981, her daughter-in-law, Sandy Burns who died in 2013 and one brother, Mack “Jr” Bryant.
