Paula (Blanchard) Jordan

Mrs. Paula Blanchard Jordan, 66, of Chula passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Tift Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 23, 2019 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Rev. Corey Thompson and Rev. Ike Branch officiating. A Eulogy will be given by her son Brian Jordan. Interment will follow in Oakridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, December 23rd from 1:00 until 2:30 PM before the service at the funeral home.

Burt Calhoun, Dale Wilson, Jason Haire, Roy Lasseter, Doug Pitts and Dustin Pitts will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Jordan was born May 25, 1953 in Tift County to the late Glenn Blanchard and Lorene Barnard Blanchard. She had lived in Tift County all her life. Mrs. Jordan was a member of First Church of the Nazarene of Tifton and attended Landmark Missionary Baptist Church. Paula was dedicated to her church and was involved in many ministries. Mrs. Jordan taught school for seventeen years at TCDI, Tiftarea Academy and Annie Belle Clark before retiring. She was dedicated to her career as a teacher and loved each of her students. Prior to her years in education she worked as a seamstress for Belk’s, as a teller at C & S Bank and customer service representative with Georgia Power. She was a member of Tifton Junior Women’s Club. She loved to bake and decorate cakes, garden and arts and crafts. She was always active, never idle and had a true servant’s heart.

Mrs. Jordan is survived by her husband, Don Jordan of Chula to whom she was married for fifty years; one son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Mitsu Jordan of Savannah; one daughter, Cindy Tucker of Tifton; five grandchildren, Grace Esco, Levi Tucker, Eason Vora, Rayna Jordan and Davis Jordan; one sister and brother-in-law, Darlene and Steve Haire of Gaffney, South Carolina; her Mother-in-law, Imogene Jordan; her aunt, Lounell Jensen of Chula; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law; Randy and Nancy Jordan of Ponte Vedra, Florida and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
