Mrs. Patricia Diann Womack Goodman, 77, of Chula, passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, September 5, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Rev. Randall Gay and Rev. Cory Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.
Rocky Chambers, Brian Chambers, Brandon Goodman, Chris Goodman, Mark Goodman and Gene Hinson will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons and great grandsons.
Mrs. Goodman was born January 16, 1943 in Tift County to the late Nicholas J. Womack, Jr., and Celestia Akins Womack. Mrs. Goodman was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Chula and was retired from Kelly’s Services in Ashburn. She had lived in Tift County most of her life. For many years Patricia was the manager of the Dairy Queen which was then in Sunsweet on I-75. She was a hard worker and always provided for her family. Mrs. Goodman loved her Lord and was active in her church where she taught Sunday School in earlier years. Patricia loved growing flowers and cooking. She wanted her family and everyone in her home to have plenty to eat. She specialized in biscuits and chicken and dumplings among other things. Mrs. Goodman was a wonderful Mother, Grandmother and great Grandmother. She especially loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mrs. Goodman is survived by her husband, James L. Goodman of Tifton to whom she was married for sixty years; her sons and daughter-in-law, Anthony and Kay Goodman of Chula and Donald Goodman of Inaha; her daughters and son-in-law, Amy Gonzales of Enigma and Donna and Gene Hinson of Omega and a bonus sibling, Will Taylor; her grandchildren, Kaycee Goodman, Kassidy Goodman, Kimberly and Jason Stowe, Hannah Goodman, Blake and Allie Hinson, Brandie Hinson and her fiancé, David Bickley, Kaylee Gonzales and her fiancé, Blake Arnold, Taylor Tomlinson and his fiancé, Blaze Crawley, Brantley Parr; her great grandchildren, Kassidy Boatner, Matthew Kennedy, Jr., Alana Stowe, Jaxon Goodman, Ben Houle, Max Bickley and Brylee Arnold; two sisters and brother-in-law, Carol and Jerry Gardner of Athens, Ala., and Annette Chambers of Hahira. Also, she was survived by many special nieces, nephews and cousins who loved her dearly.
Flowers are accepted.
