Patricia Anne (Walker) Boyd

Tifton – Patricia Anne Walker Boyd, 51 of Sylvester died Sunday, March 20, 2016 at the home of her father-in-law, Robert Boyd.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at Albritton Funeral Directors with Rev. Lonnie Lacy and Rev. David Rose co- officiating and Cal Carpenter delivering the eulogy. The interment will follow the service in Oakridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday evening at Albritton Funeral Directors.

Pallbearers will be Freddy Carpenter, Stan Carpenter Cal Carpenter, Clinton Carpenter, Chad Mathis and Dr. Joel Johnson.  Honorary pallbearers will be Tift Regional Medical Center Radiology Services Dept., Leon Douglas, and Allen Solomon.

Mrs. Boyd was born September 20, 1964 in Brunswick Georgia to Clifford and Carlene Walker.  She was preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, Janette Boyd.

After Mrs. Boyd graduated from Berrien County High School in 1982, she attended Albany Techical College and graduated with an X-Ray Technologist degree.  She was employed as an X-Ray Technologist for Tift Regional Medical Center.  She was a member of Unity Baptist Church in Sylvester and a former member of St. Anne’s Episcopal Church in Tifton and the most important things to her was living a Christian life along with being the Mother of her daughter. Her hobbies were flower gardening, visiting the St. Simons Island and Brunswick areas and loving her dogs and cats. Her favorite Bible chapter was Psalm 91.

In addition to her mother Carlene Walker, she is survived by her husband Marc Scott Boyd whom she married December 14, 1991; her only daughter, Rachel Anne Boyd, Sylvester; sister, Julie Lynn Walker, Brookfield; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Paul and Lisa Boyd, Tifton; nephew John Paul Boyd, Jr.; and father-in-law Robert Boyd, Tifton.
