Omar Enrique Martinez

The family of Omar Enrique Martinez, of Omega is saddened to announce his passing on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at the age of sixteen.

A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, May 21, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Our Divine Saviour Catholic Church with Father Peter Oyenugba officiating. The Rosary will be held Thursday, May 20, 2021 at 5:00 P.M. in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. following the Rosary at the funeral home.

Omar was born December 3, 2004 in Tifton to Sergio Martinez and Elisa Carrillo both of Omega. Omar attended Our Divine Saviour Catholic Church of Tifton and occasionally attended Omega Baptist Church as a child. He was currently a student and a rising Junior at Tift County High School where he was a member of the ROTC and planned on going into the military after his graduation.

Omar was loved by many, in the words of his youngest brother Angel “he was the best brother ever.” He loved Technology and 3-D printing things. He was very creative and he loved to draw.  His favorite colors were red and black. He loved to put others before himself and wanted to make sure they were happy. He always wanted the best for others and his family. He was a very funny boy who always had the brightest smile and his laugh always made others happy. He was very loved by many.

In addition to his parents, Omar is survived by his brothers and sisters, Fermin A. Olivo, Mario A. Martinez, Zulma A. Martinez, Angel G. Martinez, Maria Martinez, Andrea I. Luna, Cindy M. Rodriguez, Laura L. Rubio, Sergio A. Martinez, Jr., Roberto C. Martinez and April G. Nunez and numerous nieces and nephews.
