Myra Jane (Ganues) Miller

Mrs. Myra Jane Ganues Miller, 83, of Tifton passed away on Monday, April 11, 2022, at Tift Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Rev. Stacy Phillips officiating. A eulogy will be given by Mr. Nick McClellan. Interment will follow at Oakridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:30 P.M. at the funeral home before the service.

Gerry Ayscue, Bo Thompson, Nick McClellan, Earl McQuaig, Seth Thomas and Scott Ganues will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Miller was born January 23, 1939 in Talking Rock, Georgia to the late William Franklin Ganues and Clara Belle Cagle Ganues. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Henry Miller, Sr., who died November 20, 2007; her sister, Mary Louise Ganues and her brother, Billy Ganues. Mrs. Miller was a member of Northside Baptist Church where she had previously served as a church secretary. She was a graduate of Newnan High School. Mrs. Miller enjoyed going to her granddaughters livestock events and her garden club. She was a volunteer for Tift Regional Medical Center Auxillary Pink Ladies and she enjoyed crocheting, growing flowers, working crossword and word search puzzles and watching game shows and Hallmark movies.

Mrs. Miller is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Raymond (Ray) H. Miller, Jr., and JeanAnn of Tifton and William Christopher “Chris” and Julie Miller of Tifton; her granddaughters, Danielle Miller and Meagan Miller; her sisters and brother-in-law, Juanita Ganues and Sudie and Ronald Brown of Newnan; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth and Dot Ganues of Marietta and Rev. Randall and Brenda Ganues of Murfreesboro, TN, many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews, along with the McQuaig family.
