Michael Craig Barber,56, beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on April 25, 2024, at his residence. He was born on February 5, 1968, in Tift County to his loving parents, Connie and J. T. Barber.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 3, 2024 at 2:00 P.M.in the Chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Rev. Jimmy Hinson officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 1:45 P.M. Before the service. A private interment will be held at Lenox City Cemetery.
Craig was a man of many talents, known as a jack of all trades. His ability to handle plumbing, woodworking, and various other tasks earned him a reputation as a skilled handyman. Despite his versatile skill set, Craig's true passion lay in his family. He cherished his loved ones dearly, with a special place in his heart for his dear Momma.
Educated at Tift County High School, Craig's friendly and helpful nature endeared him to many. He found joy in spending time with friends and lending a helping hand to anyone in need. His warm personality and willingness to assist others will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
In his leisure time, Craig could often be found indulging in his favorite hobbies of hunting, fishing, and enjoying the great outdoors. These activities brought him solace and allowed him to appreciate the beauty of nature that he held dear.
Along with his parents, Craig is survived by his family: Jeff and Emily Barber of Alpharetta (brother and sister-in-law), Jeannine and Bryant Taylor of Tifton (sister and brother-in-law), his nephew Ryan Taylor and his wife Anna and their children, Asher and Callie, Preston, Cooper, Harrison, and Grayson Barber (nephews), and his son Tripper Sammons. His presence will be deeply missed by each of them as they hold onto cherished memories of their time together.
In honor of Craig, let us remember his kind spirit, unwavering dedication to family, and willingness to help others. May his legacy live on through the love he shared with those around him.
