Melba Faye Kendrick Roberson

Melba Faye Kendrick Roberson, 83 of Tifton, Georgia formerly of Chula, Georgia passed away peacefully at Rehab Center of South Georgia on Sunday, February 2, 2025. She was born on November 14, 1941, in Turner County, Georgia to the late J. C. Kendrick, Jr. and Violet Tucker Kendrick. 

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at Rosehill Cemetery in Ashburn with Rev. Jason Loggins officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at the cemetery.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-one years, Winfred Neal Roberson, who died September 14, 2023.

Mrs. Faye was a member of First Baptist Church of Chula where before her illness, she enjoyed singing in the church choir. She was a former member of Tifton Primitive Baptist Church where she was the church pianist. Mrs. Faye was a graduate of Turner County High School and ABAC where she graduated with an associate degree in business. When her health permitted, she enjoyed decorating her home, playing the piano, and cooking, but her favorite past-time was listening to gospel music. In her younger years, she previously had worked for The Bank of Ashburn, Northside Baptist Church and Roberson Seed Cleaning Company.

She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Neal and Jana Roberson of Chula and Todd Roberson of Tifton; brothers and sisters-in-law David and Debra Kendrick of Chula and W. C. and Barbara Kendrick of Turner County, sisters-in-law, Jewell Golden Roberson of Chula, along with two step grandchildren, Anna Grace Douglas and Tanner Douglas.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Hospice of Tift Area, P.O. Box 747, Tifton, Georgia 31793.
