Mattie "Pat" Bell (Brady) Pogue

Mrs. Mattie Bell “Pat” Brady Pogue, 93, of Tifton, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2020 at Tift Regional Medical Center.

A private family viewing and funeral will be held in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 with Rev. Landon Alberson officiating. The private interment will be held at Oakridge Cemetery.

Mrs. Pogue was born November 27, 1926 in Colquitt County to the late Alvie Jackson Brady and Jewel Sumner Brady. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Sarah Wiggins, Cleo Crumley and Hazel Lupo and her son-in-law, James Gary Keen. Mrs. Pogue was of Baptist faith and retired from J. P. Stevens as a mender. She had lived in Tift County most of her life and graduated from Omega High School. Miss Pat loved her family intensely, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was always happy and loved to make others happy. Miss Pat was a Godly lady who loved music, played the piano, organ and was a wonderful singer. She was described as an "Angel" on Earth. Mrs. Pogue loved to cook and provide for her family. Many friends of her grandchildren and great grandchildren called her “Mema”. After her work at J. P. Stevens she worked at the drug store in the Agrirama. She loved animals especially her puppies who she treated as children.

Mrs. Pogue is survived by her daughter, Patricia “Patsy” Keen of Tifton; her grandchildren, Angela Keen, Shauna Keen Webb (Mikey), Tiffany Keen Avant and Jamie Keen; her great grandchildren, Austin Avant, Christian Avant, Mason Avant, Keenan Webb, Kenslee Ann Webb, Kade Keen and Kyleigh Keen.

Flowers accepted or donation may be made to Tift County Animal Shelter, 278 Georgia Hwy 125 S., Tifton, Ga. 31794.

Albritton Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
