Mary Otha (Greer) Rowe

Mrs. Mary Otha Greer Rowe, 88, of Tifton passed away on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at Tifton Health and Rehabilitation Center.

A graveside service will be held Sunday, October 10, 2021 at 3:00 P.M. at Tift Memorial Gardens with Dr. Danny Ray officiating.

Michael Burgess, Jason Highsmith, Tommy Gray, Chris Whitley, Taylor Highsmith, C. D. Garner, Austin King and Derrick Garner will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Rowe was born November 17, 1932 in Tift County to the late Clarence A. “Doc” Greer and May Byrd Willis Greer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Clarence Rowe who died August, 1990; her son, Danny Rowe who she considered an angel and he died in 1952; three sisters, Grace Garner, Sylvia Burgess and Martha Padgett and four infant brothers.

Mrs. Rowe gave her life to Christ at the age of fifteen at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Chula.  She always tried to live a good life to the best of her ability. She and her husband attended Tifton Church of God during their marriage.

She was a wonderful homemaker who kept children in her home. She loved making pound cakes, pecan pies, all kinds of candy and she enjoyed fishing and watching the Atlanta Braves on TV.

Mrs. Rowe is survived by nieces and nephews, Hilda Whitley, Tammy Garner, Jerry and Joy Garner and Leon Garner. She is also survived by numerous great nieces, nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
