Mary Ella (Wilson) Gilbert

Mary Ella Gilbert, 87, of Tifton died Sunday, April 16, 2017 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Albritton Funeral Directors chapel with Rev. Rocky Carrington officiating. Interment will follow at Oakridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Gilbert was born on September 3, 1929 in Hermitage Missouri to the late Clarence Edward Wilson and Sarah Frances West Wilson. She was married to James Robert Gilbert of Tifton for 64 years. Mrs. Gilbert worked for South Georgia Bank as a secretary for many years. She enjoyed fishing and camping and she loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren very much.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Gilbert is survived by one daughter, Deborah Ann and Jamie Griner of Tifton; one son, Robert and Angela Gilbert of Tifton; two grandchildren, Trent and Jaci Bryan and Jessica and Shane Gilbert; six great grandchildren, Jordan Gilbert, Halleigh Gilbert, Grace Gilbert, Emmalyn Bryan, Brantley Bryan and Brody Bryan; one great great grandchild, Luxx Gilbert and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Gilbert was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
