Mary Frances Cook Causey

Mary Frances Cook Causey, of the Tifton community, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 3, 2025, in her hometown of Tifton, Georgia, at the age of 89. She was born on September 22, 1935, as the daughter of Thomas Zachary"Jack" Cook and Eunice Laverne Turner Cook. She dedicated her life to her family, her faith, and a career in retail.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation at Albritton Funeral Directors, located at 1020 Tift Ave N, Tifton, GA 31794, on Thursday, February 6, 2025, from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM. A funeral service will be held at Albritton Funeral Directors at 2:00 PM with Rev. Ray Turner officiating. The interment will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.

Chris Grimes, Richy Grimes, Jared Grimes, Tanner Grimes, Howard Simms and Zack Simms will serve as pallbearers.

Mary Frances spent many years in the retail business, working at G. C. Murphy, Pic N Sav, and ultimately retiring from Walmart after more than twenty years of service. Her commitment and work ethic were exemplary, earning her the respect and admiration of colleagues and customers alike.

Educated in the Tift County School System, Mary Frances was deeply rooted in her community. As a devoted mother to her only daughter, Judy, and a loving grandmother to her grandsons, she cherished every moment spent with her family. Her love extended beyond her immediate family, as she nurtured warm relationships with her three great grandchildren, Jared, Tanner, and Colton Grimes, and her nephew's family, Howard Zachary Simms (Dealva) Grace Martin (Jason) and Zack Simms

Her faith was an integral part of her life; she was a devoted member of Zion Hope Baptist Church, actively participating in The Prayer Warriors Group and the church choir. Her presence at church was unwavering, attending services whenever her health allowed. Mary Frances took her time with everything she did, embodying patience and kindness.

Mary Frances is survived by her daughter, Judy, and son-in-law, Gary Grimes; grandsons Chris and Heather Grimes, and Richy and Jill Grimes; along with her treasured great grandchildren, Jared, Tanner, and Colton Grimes. She will be profoundly be missed by all who knew her.

Along with her parents, Jack Cook and Eunice Laverne Turner Cook, she was preceded in death by her sister, Decia Laverne Simms, and brother-in-law, Howard Simms.
