Mrs. Martha Swann Hurst Clark, 88, of Tifton passed away Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Tift Regional Medical Center.
Graveside services will be held Sunday, February 14, 2021 at 3:30 p.m. in Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Doerun with Rev. John Jacobs officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday, February 14th from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Albritton Funeral Directors.
Riley Prosser, Brice Prosser, Dereck Prosser, Kevin Carver, Ryne Barfield and Keigan Carver will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Clark was born March 14, 1932 in Early County to the late Edwin Swann and Lucy Sheffield Swann. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Oather Clark, her son, Randy Hurst and her first husband, William Heywood Hurst, Sr. Mrs. Clark was a member of Kingwood Baptist Church of Moultrie and was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse. She had lived most of her life in Moultrie and Tifton. Miss Martha graduated from high school in Early County and was trained as an LPN at Moultrie Technical School. She was proud of her career in nursing and helping people. She was an excellent seamstress and loved to crochet. She also loved to cook and bake especially sweets. Miss Martha loved her family and especially spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mrs. Clark is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law,n William “Bill” Hurst, Jr., of Milledgeville and Brad and Kristie Hurst of Tifton; four grandchildren, Melissa and Dereck Prosser, William Hurst, III and Tiffany, Brianna and Kevin Carver and Allison Hurst; seven great grandchildren, Seth Hurst, Makayla Hurst, Riley Prosser, Brice Prosser, Chloe Carver, Keigan Carver and Tycen Carver and two sisters, Sylvia Jaynes of Kingsport, Tenn., and Ellen Glover of Warner Robins.
Flowers are accepted.
