Mark Gaston Barton

Mark Gaston Barton, 53 of Tifton passed away Saturday, June 4, 2016 at his residence.
His funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, June 9, 2016, in the Chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Rev. Terrell Roberts and Bro. David Barton officiating. Bro. Terron Stonecypher will be officiating at the graveside. Interment will follow at Mt. Paron Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M.
Luke Stonecypher, Seth Stonecypher, Joel Stonecypher, Jeremy Hyers, Brian Stone and Mike Stone will serve as pallbearers.
Mr. Barton was born in Hazlehurst on January 8, 1963 to Elder G. E. Barton and Betty Allen Hargrove both of Tifton. He was a self employed truck driver and he attended Tift Ave. Baptist Church. He graduated from Tiftarea Academy in 1982 and from Ben Hill Irwin Technical School in 1985. He enjoyed playing video games, playing Frisbee with his daughter and cooking on the grill. He was an excellent self taught cook.
Along with his parents survivors include: wife Nancy Michelle Stone Barton of Tifton; daughter, Morgan Galina Barton, of Tifton; mother-in-law, Marilee Stone, of Alapaha; step father, Olin Hargrove of Tifton; step mother, Miriam Barton of Tifton; Uncle David and Aunt Gwen Barton of Rochelle.
