Margaret Louise (Wheeler) Tanner

Mrs. Margaret Louise Wheeler Tanner, 92, of Waterloo, passed away on Friday, August 12, 2022 at Pruitt Health of Moultrie.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, August 14, 2022 in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Rev. Randall Gay officiating. Interment will follow at Oakridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. to 1: 45 P.M. at the funeral home before the service.

Mrs. Tanner was born November 20, 1929 in Bleckley County, Georgia to the late Chalmus Clifton Wheeler and Bessie Lee Bryant. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Loyd Tanner, her son, Danny Lee Tanner and her grandson, Phillip Stinson.  Mrs. Tanner was a member of New River Baptist Church of Tifton and was a bookkeeper for numerous businesses. She spoiled her grandbabies, kept her house spotless and kept everyone fed by cooking three meals a day. She never met a stranger, loved people and always had a smile on her face.

Mrs. Tanner is survived by her daughter, Dianne Roberts of Tifton; her grandchildren, Sandy Stinson Holt, Timothy Tanner, Tammy Tanner and Chalmus Chad Lashley; three great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; her sisters, Janie Carr of Brunswick and Shirley Rippy of Tifton and her brother Charles Wheeler of Utah.
