Madison "Matt" Timothy Brown

Madison "Matt" Timothy Brown, born on June 30, 1958, in Tifton, Georgia, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2025, at Tift Regional Medical Center, in his hometown. 

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Oakridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. at Albritton Funeral Directors before the service at the cemetery.

Matt was a dedicated professional in construction management. A proud graduate of Tift County High School, Class of 1976, he carried the values and passion for life learned in his formative years into his professional and personal endeavors. 

He was not only skilled in his trade but was also a deeply talented musician. As a gifted pianist, Matt traveled with the southern gospel group Heaven's Express, sharing his love for music and touching the hearts of many along the way. In addition to music, he took great joy in fishing, finding peace and fulfillment in nature’s embrace. 

Matt leaves behind a loving family, including his son, Austin Brown of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee; his two daughters, Allison Brown of Orlando, Florida, and Kelly and Shawn Hunter of St. Mary’s, Georgia; his father, W. P. “Squire” Brown, Jr. of Tifton, Georgia and his cherished grandchildren, Meagan Youngblood and Tyler Youngblood. He is also survived by his beloved sisters and brothers-in-law, Terrie and Larry Branch of Tifton, Georgia, and Kaycee and Scott Hudson of Lake Sinclair, Georgia. 

He is preceded in death by; his mother, Evelyn Mathis Brown; his infant brother, Michael Timothy Brown; and his brother Michael "Mike" Kenneth Brown. 

Matt will be remembered for his kind heart, unwavering dedication to his family, his musical talent, and his zest for life. His presence touched so many, and his legacy will continue through the love and memories cherished by all who knew him.
