Madge (McMillan) Doles

Madge McMillan Doles “Mama”, 86 of Inverness, FL, formerly of Tifton, went home peacefully, under the care of the Vistas inpatient hospice care unit in Lecanto, FL, on April 17, 2019. She was surrounded by so much family they couldn’t even close the door to the room. Born July 14, 1932 in Pavo, Ga., to Cyril and Georgia McMillan (both deceased).  Mama is also preceded in death by her husband, J. B. Doles, daughter Linda Doles, infant son Michael Doles, along with six sisters and three brothers.
She is survived by five children. Cynthia Walker of Inverness, FL, Paula Hamby (Roger) of Deer Park, Texas, John Doles (Maria) of Statham, Ga., Roger Doles (Tammy) of Jacksonville, FL, and Sharon Massey of Inverness, FL. Also survived by ten grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. Mama was a Christian and a member of Fort Cooper Baptist Church in Inverness. Mama’s love for her Lord and her family are some of the qualities she will be forever remembered.  “The Great Protector” mama was always first to stand up for any of her family in need. Always the sweetest little thing but tough when she needed to be. She is a permanent part of our hearts and will live forever.

Visitation for this sweet lady will be held at Albritton Funeral Directors in Tifton on Saturday, April 20, 2019 from 9:30-10:30 A.M. followed by an 11:00 A.M. graveside service at Oakridge cemetery in Tifton.
