Lutrelle (Heard) Sirmans

Mrs. Lutrelle Heard Sirmans, 87, of Tifton passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, June 30, 2023 in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Rev. Steve Davis officiating.  The interment will follow in the Waterloo Baptist Church Cemetery in Irwin County. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 29, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:00 at the funeral home.

Shawn Sirmans, Chris Dudley, Preston Dudley, Cameron Cox, Jacob Joiner and Branton Swafford will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Sirmans was born September 26, 1935 in Irwin County to the late Alus Glynn “Dock” Heard and Lela Hagen Tanner Heard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Kathy Houle. Mrs. Sirmans was a 1953 graduate of Irwin County High School and was retired from Harvey’s Supermarket as a cashier. She loved cooking, watching and attending UGA football games and working at her booth at the flea markets. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren who affectionally called her Nanny.

Mrs. Sirmans is survived by her husband, Raymond Sirmans; her children, Debra Ann Hill of Tifton and Olan Dennis and Laurie Swafford of Griffin; her grandchildren, Emily Smith, Bridget Joiner, Chris Dudley, Tiffany Brooks, Ashley Swafford, Cameron Cox, Brice Swafford and Creig Swafford; fourteen great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; her brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Glenda Heard of Waterloo and her church friend, Carolyn Wilson.
