Louell Wynn Morris

Mr. Louell Wynn Morris, 70, of Tifton, passed away on Monday, August 1, 2022 at Seasons Hospice in Cumming, Georgia.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, August 8, 2022 in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Rev. Stacy Phillips and Rev. Rex Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Irwinville Cemetery with Rev. Marcus Rolle officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday, August 7, 2022 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Jason Morris, Justin Roberts, Zachary Roberts, Cal Roberts, Stewart Veness, Ben Varnum, Gary Oliver and Mickie Williams will serve as pallbearers. Present and past co-workers of the Georgia DOT will be honorary pallbearers.

Mr. Morris was born March 17, 1952 in Ben Hill County to the late Winford Hoyt Morris and Illa Belle Wynn Morris. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church of Tifton and was a graduate of Irwin County High School. Mr. Morris retired from Georgia Department of Transportation in 2009. He was a member of the Cattlemen Association and a hard worker who enjoyed his farm. He loved his family and his church. One of his favorite things in life was socializing.  He never met a stranger, loved to tell stories and spoil his grandchildren.

Mr. Morris is survived by his wife, Pamela Hasty Morris of Tifton; his children, Beth and Ronnie Busbin of Wedowee, AL., Chad and Tisha Morris of Waterloo, Misty and Jason Winzenried of Tifton, Lori Shirah of Tifton, Shana and Jordan Green of Tifton, Wynne Morris of Tifton and Lou Morris of Tifton; his siblings, Armond and Brenda Morris of Tifton, Marty Morris of Tifton, Benita and Bryan Roberts of Bonaire and Hoyt and Brenda Morris of Sharpsburg, Georgia; fifteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
