Linda Susan McCrary

Linda Susan McCrary, age 64, of Tifton, Georgia, completed the long journey to her Heavenly home after a courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, November 9, 2017. She passed away at her home, surrounded by loved ones who escorted her, hand in hand, to the outstretched arms of Jesus.

Linda was born in Bibb County, Georgia on April 21, 1953 and grew up mostly in Memphis, Tennessee. She was the daughter of the late Howard Cleveland & Dena Virginia McFarland McCrary. Upon moving to Tifton, Georgia in 1980, Linda worked at Prestolite Wire for twenty-two years.

Linda leaves behind two sons and one daughter and son-in-law: Jon Linbarger, Jr of Tifton, James McCrary of Enigma, Christy and Bryan Day of Tifton. She also leaves behind eight grand-children and their spouses who were the loves of her life: Chase Day of Wake Forest, NC, Jacob and Haley Linbarger of Ty Ty, Samantha Linbarger of Ty Ty, Alyssa Day of Tifton, Jasmine Linbarger of Moultrie, Keira McCrary of Enigma, Wyatt McCrary of Enigma, Lukas McCrary of Enigma. Linda was also blessed to be a part of her three great-grandchildren’s lives: Kayden Linbarger of Ty Ty, Kaylee Day of Tifton, Maci Linbarger of Ty Ty. She is also survived by two sisters and son-in-law and brother and sister-in-law: Cheryl and Doug Kirkman of Macon, Nancy McCrary of Tifton, Howard “Buddy” and Debra McCrary of Tifton. Linda also leaves behind several other family members & loved ones.

Linda was an extremely feisty, fun, & loving red-head. She loved puzzles, watching movies with loved ones (especially her horror movies), & spoiling her grandchildren & great-grandchildren every chance she could.

Family will receive friends at Albritton Funeral Home on Sunday, November 12, 2017, from 6 pm – 8 pm. The homegoing services will be held Monday, November 13, 2017, at 11 in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Oakridge Cemetery. Jonathan Halstead, Aaron Wise, Kevin Kilgore, Ricky Teel, Roger Hobbs and Steve Fox will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, the family would be honored for any donations to be made to Hospice of Tift Area, P.O. Box 747, Tifton, Georgia.
