Mr. Lawrence Clayton Mauldin, 80, of Tifton, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at Tift Regional Medical Center.

At this time, NO decision about arrangements will be made for Mr. Mauldin.

Mr. Mauldin was born September 20, 1939 in Trion, Georgia to the late William Clyde Mauldin and Nora Ethel Hawkins Mauldin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Jean Rogers Mauldin and his brother, Hilton Mauldin of Washington State. Mr. Mauldin was a veteran of the United States Air Force and of Baptist faith. He was a Design Engineer for Northrop for over thirty years. His job consisted of inspection of the final structural aspects of various aircrafts. Mr. Mauldin also used a super computer to oversee the design of airplanes. In addition to his design work with Northrop, he also was an engineer for Hughes Satellite and Rockwell International. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and generally loved the outdoors.

Mr. Mauldin is survived by his son, Andre Mauldin of Tifton; two sisters and brother-in-law, Sue and Harold Kosier and Peggy Deming all of Tifton and several nieces and nephews.
