Laverne Eteva (Brown) Moorhouse

Mrs. Laverne Eteva Brown Moorhouse, 76, of Tifton passed away on Monday, January 13, 2020 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 16, 2020 at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Rev. Marshall Kennedy and Rev. Tim Moorhouse officiating. Interment will follow in Tift Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Moorhouse was born June 28, 1943 in Colquitt County to the late Arthur Preston Brown and Alease Jackson Brown. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband Robert Lupo and her sister Delaine Walker. She attended Corinth Freewill Baptist Church. Mrs. Moorhouse had lived most of her life in Tift County and was a graduate of Tift County High School in 1964. After graduation she worked with Oxford of Tifton, Fitzgerald Underwear, Prestolite Wire and later as a caregiver at Maple Court and Cypress Pond. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, reading westerns and traveling. She loved older country music and Elvis.

Mrs. Moorhouse is survived by her husband, Richard Jefferson Moorhouse of Tifton; two daughters Rhonda Faye Lupo and Amy Suzanne Seidel of Mt. Vernon; two sons Andy Daryl Lupo of Brookfield and Richard Chris Moorhouse of Abbeville; five grandchildren Kayla Michelle Lutz, Melanie Beth Bruce, Kevin Woods, Junior Moorhouse and Joanna Michelle Moorhouse; four great grandchildren Connor Ward Hester, Jack Evan Thompson, Lily Rose Gable and Jacob Fergurson; two sisters Drucilla Harper of Enigma and Debbie Brown of Brookfield; two brothers and sisters-in-law Larry and Debra Brown and Herman and Peggy Brown; also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
