Laurie dedicated many years of her professional life as a banking teller with First Community Bank of Tifton. Known for her unwavering positivity and the ability to see good in everyone, she always greeted others with a warm smile. Laurie's bright spirit inspired those around her, and she was cherished for her genuine kindness and caring nature. Her favorite color was red, a fitting symbol of the warmth and joy she brought into the lives of those she touched.

She was a proud graduate of Tift County High School and furthered her education by earning an associate's degree from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC). As a member of Eastside Baptist Church, Laurie's faith was a cornerstone of her life. She exemplified a strong belief in God’s plan, often sharing her motto, “God's Got This,” reminding others not to worry and inspiring many with her heartfelt testimony.

Laurie lovingly referred to her granddaughter, Brooklyn Dickey, affectionately known as "Boo” as the “Apple of her Eye”. Their bond was a testament to Laurie's nurturing spirit and deep affection for family. She is survived by her devoted husband, Rex William Norman, and their daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Shaun Dickey of Tifton. Additionally, she leaves behind two beloved sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara and Glenn Coburn of Tifton and Carla and Andy Borem of Young Harris, Georgia, along with her fur baby, Jenny.

She was predeceased by her father, Othal C. Evans; her mother, Mary JoAnn Butler Evans Davis; her twin grandchildren, Michael and Makenna Dickey; and her in-laws, Horace and Doris Norman. Though she mourned their absence, Laurie's love and faith remained steadfast throughout her life.

Laurie Kay Evans Norman will be deeply missed, but her spirit will forever shine in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
