Mr. Hardwick was born September 8, 1955 in Tifton to the late Dr. H. Douglas Hardwick and Ethel Louise Kelly Hardwick. He was owner of Hardwick Waterproofing for approximately twenty years and former member of Ridge Avenue Church of Christ. As an entrepreneur, he was interested in new products and services and worked with many contractors in the west Georgia area.
Larry liked playing sports as much as he liked watching them. While attending ABAC, he played tennis for the college team. And throughout his adult life he enjoyed playing countless rounds of golf with his friends. He was always an avid UGA Bulldogs fan who loved watching the Dogs on game day.
Before attending ABAC, then furthering his education at Valdosta State College, receiving a degree in Business Administration, he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout.
Larry was loved and appreciated by those who knew him as a caring, dependable and genuine person. Larry had a quick wit and was fun to be around. He will be greatly missed.
Larry is survived by his sisters, Lynn Dixon of Greensboro, GA, Brenda and Sim Christie of Woodstock, GA, and Carolyn Niesielowski of Santa Rosa Beach, FL; his brother, John and Jan Hardwick of Loganville, GA; nieces and nephews, Douglas P. Christie, Ryan M. Christie, Jordan K. Chambliss, Harrison D. Hardwick, Blake T. Niesielowski, Jonathan T. Hardwick, Alan S. Christie and Lindsay K. Hardwick.
