Lana Carol (Cook) Pratt

Mrs. Lana Carol Cook Pratt, 78, of Tifton, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2022 at Tift Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, December 30, 2022 in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Rev. James Hall officiating. Interment will follow at Harding Methodist Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, December 29, 2022 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Ronald Cook, Jared Cook, Matthew Crumley, Mike Crumley, Tony Turner and Mark Turner will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Pratt was born July 20, 1944, in Tift County to the late Wade Cook and Myrtis Turner Cook.  She was a member of Harding United Methodist Church.  Mrs. Pratt graduated from Tift County High School in 1962. She trained to be a hygienist on her job while working with Dr. Peterson.  She worked in the dental field for forty-eight years.  First as a hygienist and later as office manager. Over her career, she worked for Dr. Peterson, Dr. Lyles and Dr. Barlow.  She was a faithful and committed employee who loved her job. Lana was an avid reader of romance stories, and she enjoyed word search. She was family oriented and active in her church where she served as treasurer for many years.  She loved to travel and visit new places.

Mrs. Pratt is survived by her husband of fifty years, Lewis Wayne Pratt of Tifton; one son, Alan W. Pratt of Tifton; one daughter, Amy L. Pratt of Brunswick; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Earl and Joyce Cook and Mitchell “Skeeter” and Theresa Cook all of Tifton; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Anne and Kenneth Fletcher and Peggy and Mike Collins all of Tifton.
