Kenneth Wayne Smith

Mr. Kenneth Wayne Smith, 72, passed away on Friday, August 9, 2019 at Tift Regional Hospital.

A memorial service will be held at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Enigma at 3:30 P.M. on Monday, August 12, 2019. The family will receive friends following the service on Monday. Interment will be private.

Mr. Smith was born February 28, 1947 to the Late Ivie and Sadie Standridge Smith.

He was very proud to have served his country in the United States Army as a Vietnam Veteran. Following his military career he worked with Big Star Food Stores.  Later he started his own sign company.  He loved his family and worked very hard to care for them.  He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Mildred Louise (Lindsey) Smith; one son and daughter-in-law, Casey and Annie Smith of Enigma; one daughter and son-in-law, Terri and Joseph Ristucci of Seffner, Florida; six grandchildren, Phillip, Timothy, Jesse, Isaac, Karen and Tara Smith; one brother David Allen of Lakeland, Florida; two sisters, LaJean Meadows of Lakeland, Florida and Rosalee Reed of Gonzales, Florida.
