Kathleen (Hunt) Moretz

Mrs. Kathleen Hunt Moretz, 90, passed away on Monday, October 28, 2019 at Legacy Village of Tifton.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 11:00 AM in Tift Memorial Gardens with Dr. Fred Evers officiating.

Mrs. Moretz was born July 26, 1929 in Autauga County, Alabama to the late Jack Hunt and Vinnie Bazzel Hunt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Carey Odell Moretz who died July 6, 2015, her daughter Helen Brewer, her brother James Hunt and two sisters Daisy Tucker and Shirley Price. Mrs. Moretz was a member of Eastside Baptist Church and a homemaker.  She had lived in Tifton since 1976. She had also worked at Central Pharmacy and The Children’s Store. She loved her family especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed bowling and dancing with her husband.

Mrs. Moretz is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Jill Moretz of Tifton; five grandchildren, Austin and Julianne Moretz, Kadie Moretz, Allen Moretz, Kelly Bowick and Krista Mizell; two great grandchildren Spurlin Moretz and Parks Moretz.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Legacy Village for their compassionate care during her stay there.
