Juan Olvera Alcala

Juan Olvera Alcala, 75, of Omega passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at his granddaughter’s residence.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 16, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Rev. Filiberto Hernandez officiating. Interment will follow at Omega Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, April 15, 2022 from 5:00 to 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Jose Lara, Edwin Castro, Jesus Verver, Jr., Francisco Aguilar, Wincar Olvera and Oscar Hernandez will serve as pallbearers.

Mr. Olvera was born September 8, 1946 in Nueva Rosita Coahuila, Mexico to the late Juan Olvera Salazar and Antonia Alcala Rodriguez.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Robert Olvera. He was a workaholic. He worked until he was not able to work anymore. He had a strong attitude but very loving and caring to his family and perfect role model. He loved to clean his yard and also watching old Spanish movies.

Juan is survived by his wife, Maria DeJesus Hernandez Olvera of Omega; his son, Juan Gerardo Olvera of Omega, his daughter, Silvia Aracely of Omega; six grandchildren, Priscila Castro, Georgina Castro Aguilar, Danielly Castro, Wincar Olvera, Crystal Olvera and Jessica Reyes; thirteen great grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, Jose Luis Olvera Alcala and Nieves Olvera Alcala.
