Joy Clark Davis, born on December 6, 1947, in Vernon, Texas, but raised in Pampa, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 24 2024, at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia. She lived her life with grace and dedication, shaping the lives of those around her as a loving homemaker.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at Oakridge Cemetery with Pastor Gersaid Romero and Pastor Roberto officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 P.M. at Albritton Funeral Directors before the graveside service.
Jabari Moore, Ethan Camacho, Christian Romero, Randy Newman, Sergio Camacho, Mike Davis, Pat Davis and Jerry Davis will serve as pallbearers.
Joy's most treasured role was that of a homemaker, where she exhibited unwavering love and commitment to her family. She enjoyed every moment spent with her loved ones. Joy took immense joy in baking for her family, often filling their gatherings with delightful treats that brought smiles to many faces. She also enjoyed babysitting her great grandchildren, fostering connections that would leave lasting memories. Known for her warmth and engaging conversation, she never met a stranger and had a gift for connecting with everyone she encountered
.In her leisure time, Joy found happiness in simple pleasures, such as watching her favorite soap operas. Her vibrant spirit and enthusiasm for life resonated with everyone she met and will be deeply missed.
Joy is survived by her husband, Larry Gene Davis of Ashburn; her children, Laura Davis Newnan and her husband Randy, Patrick Davis, Michael Davis, and his wife Vanessa and Jerry Davis and his wife, Starre; her grandchildren, Allison Romero, Lindsay Camacho, Heather Moore, Michael Davis, Jr., Terry Davis, Dusty Davis, Dakota Davis, Chandler Davis, Clayton Davis, Ethan Davis, Garrett Davis, Dylan Davis, and Hank Davis; and numerous great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her two brothers, Johnnie Clark and his wife, Jan and Jimmie Clark and his wife, Carol.
She was predeceased by her father, Carlton Allison Clark; her mother, Hazel Halford Clark; and her brother, Carl Clark.
Joy Clark Davis’s legacy of love and connection will remain in the hearts of her family and friends, serving as a reminder of the bonds that tie us together.
