Joseph "Joey" Paul Tomberlin

Mr. Joseph “Joey” Paul Tomberlin, 57, of TyTy, passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at Tift Regional Medical Center.

A visitation will be held Friday, September 2, 2022 from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Albritton Funeral Directors.

Mr. Tomberlin was born December 17, 1964 in Fitzgerald to the late Joseph A. Tomberlin and Bobbie Fussell Tomberlin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Hardy Andrew Tomberlin. Joey was of Baptist faith and was a graduate of Tift County High School. He had a great personality and loved offshore fishing. He was all about a good time, loved spending time with others, had a great heart and would go out of his way to help others. Joey enjoyed welding and woodworking. Some of his work can be seen in his nieces’ yard.

Mr. Tomberlin is survived by his son, Colt Tomberlin of Norman Park; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Jean and Henry Wnek of Vanceville and JoAnn and Billy Brannen of Tifton; his brother and sister-in-law, George and Lisa Tomberlin of Lenox. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews and cousins.
